High Desert Senior Photographer

Lorena: 2012 Senior

Hands down, one of the sweetest girls Ive ever met. Scratch that. Her ENTIRE family is the sweetest!!

I met Lorena briefly when I shot prom photos for a few girls from Sultana High School. With the hustle and bustle of the day I didnt get much time to talk her, just a few short minutes in between shooting. Then a few days later her mom contacted me and we talked about Senior portraits. I was over the moon excited! Further into our conversation I found out Lorena is not only pretty dang awesome, but she runs track, cheers on a varsity level and plays soccer!
She is one motivated (and super busy) little woman!

This is a session I will always remember, to say the least. Im so glad I was given the chance to work with not only Lorena, but her parents as well..  (PS: her Dad is an AWESOME reflector holder! you best believe I put these parents to work.. )

Love you guys, and congrats Lorena! I wish you the best in the years to follow..

XOXO!

High Desert Boudoir Photographer

D & W: Boudoir

I am one blessed photographer. A few weeks ago I was contacted by two best friends that were out to surprise their husbands. And believe me, surprised they were.

I absolutely adore shooting boudoir. I love the feeling of helping women feel beautiful, and then having prints SHOWING them just how gorgeous they really are. If you are thinking of a boudoir shoot for your hubby, I would say yes, YES! DO IT!
Do it for him, but more importantly, do it for YOU....and call me :)

...Did I mention this shoot in particular involved jeeps in the middle of the desert?! This is creativity crack for a photographer!!

XOXO!

Personal-18 Months

What I've learned in 18 months...

I cant believe she is a year and a half. When did this happen?! When did she stop being a newborn and turn into this talking, walking little diva? Theres so much I've learned over the last 18 months that I could only learn from one person. My little girl.

When I think of the word Mentor, I think of someone older and much wiser than myself. Someone with experience and hard learned lessons they can share with me. Though if you look the word up in the dictionary it reads this. Mentor - An Adviser or a Teacher. So now the word has changed for me. Mentor doesn't have an age limit. And I fully believe she has taught me more in the last 18 months, than I have learned in a lifetime. She has taught me the importance of life.
I have a toddler mentoring me in happiness.

And here is a few other things she is teaching me along the way....

1. Going to the store in 2 different shoes is completely normal for a one year old. And she insists on that.
2. I will forever sound better than Norah Jones.. or at least Zoe and I think so.
3. One year olds can SMELL sugar from a mile away.
4. Sometimes you just have to let go.
5. In .5 seconds she can make every bone in her little body turn to jello. (This is especially fun in public..)
6. Love comes in so many forms.

Happy 18 Month- Half Birthday my Sweet Little.

xoxo
